Megan & Andrew’s Wedding in Elora: A Sunny Day Packed With Love

There is always something so special about a wedding in Elora. It’s such a quaint & charming little town, set on the river with the water rushing past the old mill. It’s the perfect mix of historic buildings, lush green scenery, and that cozy small-town feel. It makes even the most formal black tie wedding feel cozy and homey. Megan and Andrew’s wedding had all the charm of Elora mixed with family fun and an elegant vibe. I’m definitely adding this to my list of best weddings in Elora!

The Perfect Setting: Elora’s Foundry Chapel & Granary Building

Megan and Andrew chose The Foundry Chapel for their wedding ceremony and they couldn’t have picked a more beautiful and charming space. The stone walls, stone fireplace, and soft lighting made everything feel so romantic. Their ceremony was heartfelt and simple, loaded with big grins and a few tears. Surrounded by family and friends – some traveling from as far as Scotland – our gorgeous couple exchanged vows that had everyone dabbing at their eyes.

After the ceremony, guests wandered over the bridge to to the Granary Building’s Lower Ballroom for cocktails and dinner. This venue is so effortlessly elegant! It features exposed brick, wooden beams, and yet another big ol’ fireplace, giving the night a warm energy. Tons of candles and greenery, laughter, and the clinking of glasses made it the perfect spot to celebrate Megan and Andrew’s Elora wedding.

A Day Full of Emotion and Smiles

From the second Megan walked down the aisle, you could feel the joy in the room. The way Andrew looked at her said everything – pure love, excitement, and admiration. Their vows were simple and sweet just like them; these two aren’t the fussy types.

For me, the most special and sweet part of the day was the inclusion of their baby boy! Having him in attendance was so lovely! He brought a special sweetness to the wedding that honestly made everything even better. Family members passed the little guy around and he smiled at everyone – soaking up all the love and attention. Watching M&A not only celebrate as newlyweds but aslo as parents starting a new chapter was especially moving.

A Night of Celebration

The laid-back and elegant reception was full of heartfelt speeches, inside jokes, and stories that had everyone laughing. The love and support for Megan and Andrew were undeniable – it was clear that their families love them to death. I was particularly charmed by the Scottish accents I overheard while Megan’s family caught up with each other.

As the night went on, the dance floor came alive. Guests danced, toasted, and embraced, celebrating not just the couple, but the joy of coming together for such a meaningful night. One of my favourite parts of the evening was Megan & Andrew sneaking away for a golden hour moment alone (while I third wheeled). If you have the opportunity to take a moment together away from the party, I highly recommend it!

Capturing the Magic

As a wedding photographer, I always feel incredibly lucky to witness and document love stories like Megan and Andrew’s. The way the golden sunset lit up Elora, the hugs exchanged between old friends, and the soft smiles shared between the couple made this wedding such a dream to photograph.
