North Bay Cottage Wedding | Tina + Stirling

You know those people who just feel good to be around? The types of people who totally get your sense of humour and can make you laugh with just a look? Tina & Stirling are those people – Tina & Stirling are my kind of people. When we met to chat about their North Bay Cottage Wedding I fell in love with them instantly. I drove home and prayed to all the gods I could think of that they would actually book. They were so cool and fun! All I could do was hope they’d choose a dork like me to be part of what I knew would be a flipping awesome day. The day they signed their contract was right on par with my own wedding day (ok that might be a stretch but shiiiiit I was excited).

Our time with these two began with a road trip north through beautiful wilderness. I’ve said it before, I’ll drive North any time for any wedding. It’s a non-issue. My sidekick and friggin’ amazing second photographer Megan and I spent the night in the cutest motel before heading to Stirling’s stunning family property on a small, quiet lake just outside of North Bay. Stirling (along with their cute dog Brock) greeted us in boots & a t-shirt to give us a tour of area – we were smitten. Imagine how excited we were to learn that there was a man-made pine forest where they hoped to have their first look! It was beautiful but also so special to them since Stirling had spent so much time in the pines dreaming and probably scheming.

Tina looked like a movie star not only in her Tea Ceremony dress but also later on in a swishy Truvelle gown (my fave). Every wedding is joyful but this one seemed to have it’s own special soul. So much love, so much laughter, and all of it with a couple who felt like old friends. This day was full of special & thoughtful touches. Even their officiant Jan is an old friend who along with his family sponsored Tina’s parents when they first came to Canada from Vietnam. If that doesn’t warm your heart you’re dead inside. We ended a stellar day with a truly spectacular sparkler send-off and can honestly say we were sad to say goodbye.

North Bay Cottage Wedding, Toronto Wedding Photographer

I don’t ever pull off a wedding day by myself, this North Bay Cottage Wedding is no exception. I have to give special thanks to my travel buddy and second photographer for this event, Miss Megan Ewing (www.mecreative.ca) who gave up 2 days of her precious time to help me create these photos. Thank you also to Carmen at Devoted to You Inc for working with us to make sure everything was on point! Of course Faces by Sheena and Shear Oasis Hair design did an amazing job working their skills on our ladies. Sheena even hooked me up with some lipstick – thanks girl lol! The beautiful bridesmaids rocked dresses by LangSura. Florals were provided by Greenway Blooming Centre, Catering by Churchills, and DJ A.J. Jakeman brought the party.
