About Me
Who: I’m a small town girl from Alberta who moved to Toronto on a whim a decade ago. I met a handsome redhead, got hitched, and became a mama to twins! We live just outside the city where we can explore forests & fields, hang out with our scruffy mutt, and occasionally hop on the train to catch a Jays game. Some things you should know about me: I’m OBSESSED with the Office and have watched the entire series 6 7 times, I have a fairly concerning addiction to coffee (but I mean who doesn’t), my wardrobe is 80% concert t-shirts, 10% jeans, 10% black dresses, I love to embarrass my assistant Julie on the dance floor, and to be honest I don’t take myself all that seriously. If you want a formal, all-business photographer I’m probably not the girl for you. However, if you’re looking for a part-time BFF, boutonnière pinning expert who sincerely gives a sh*t about you & your photos we might just be a good fit to work together.
What: I photograph weddings for couples who love each other a whole lot. My approach is mostly documentary style – I love to creatively capture a wedding day as it naturally unfolds without intervening too much. I love swishy dresses, romantic slow dances, happy tears, belly laughs, and drunken dance floor parties. I believe that often the most precious moments are the “in between” ones but I’m also a huge fan of romantic portraits with a candid vibe, you’ll see a lot of that in my portfolio. In addition to weddings I’m happy to offer lightly directed family photojournalism as well as intimate (aka boudoir) portraits.
Where: As I mentioned my home base is just outside of Toronto in Durham Region. My other home is nestled at the foot of the Rocky Mountains in Alberta, Canada! I’m just as big a fan of working with fabulous local clients as I am of travelling gigs so feel free to get in touch for either.
