When my sweet Grandmother passed away recently, I was fortunate to discover some incredible photographs of her as a young girl that I hadn’t known existed. Her parents were fairly affluent and able to afford film to capture the lives of their young family during the depression. After my Grandma’s memorial, we gathered as a family and poured over photos of her as a child playing in the snow, as a teenager doing a cheeky pose for the camera, and as a young woman enjoying life. Of course later there were photos of her with my Grandpa and all of THEIR children as a young family. These images mean everything to me. These are family heirlooms that nobody realized would become invaluable but are now treasures.
We only get one chance to live this precious life and to share it with people we love…well, it doesn’t get much better than that. This is it. This is the real deal!
How do you want to remember your family when they’re grown and moved away? How do you want them to remember you when your time on this earth has ended? One day photos will be all that’s left of the moments we share, let’s make your family photo session count.
I want to know how you relate to each other, I want to see how you hold hands and run together down the beach, I want to capture the way you comfort your child or run your fingers through your partner’s hair. The little things are the big things.
