Meet
Perched on the shore of Toronto Island, the Queen City Yacht Club made the perfect setting for Joanna and Ben’s intimate wedding celebration. This beautiful venue, surrounded by Lake Ontario, was chosen by our lovely couple, setting a whimsical tone for the day’s proceedings.
Joanna and Ben’s wedding was a celebration of love, family, and friendship. From the moment I arrived, I was drawn in by J & B’s relaxed and welcoming energy. We kicked the day off at the harbour with a completely unprompted and unposed first look before boarding the Queen City Yacht Club’s water shuttle to head to the Island. Joanna & Ben made it a point to focus on spending quality time with their family and friends, they even welcomed their wedding party to be part of the first look and boat ride. This focus on time with loved ones gave their wedding a warm, personal touch.
The couple exchanged vows beneath a beautifully decorated arch, with the panoramic view of the Toronto skyline serving as a dramatic backdrop. The ceremony was simple yet heartfelt, with every word and gesture echoing the deep love and respect Joanna and Ben share. A few happy tears were shed which is basically wedding photographer gold ;).
After the ceremony, the guests were treated to a delicious meal, with the yacht club’s chefs pulling out all the stops to ensure everyone was well-fed. The couple’s decision to keep things relaxed was evident in the reception. There were no rigid schedules or rushed activities; instead, everyone was given the freedom to mingle, eat, drink, and celebrate at their own pace.
As the sun began to set, the beauty of Toronto Island and the water really came to life. The sky was painted with hues of orange, pink, and purple, casting a romantic glow over the entire venue. This was, without a doubt, one of the highlights of the wedding. Seizing the opportunity, I snuck Joanna and Ben away for a quick photo session on the old barge that now serves as a beautiful patio on the water.
Looking back, Joanna and Ben’s wedding stood out not just for its beautiful location or the relaxed vibe, but for the genuine happiness that was palpable throughout the day. It was a beautiful celebration of love, one that I feel incredibly privileged to have been a part of. Here’s to Joanna and Ben, and to a lifetime of love and happiness.

Are you as obsessed with documentary wedding photos as I am? Check out more vibes like this HERE!
Photography has always been more than just images to me—it’s about holding onto the moments that matter most. The raw, unfiltered bits of life that tell our stories.
My approach is candid, vibey, and unposed whenever possible (don’t worry, I still gently guide your portraits when needed). I believe every emotion—joy, laughter, quiet tears, the big and small—is deeply beautiful and deserves to be remembered.
As your wedding photographer, my job isn’t to stage your love—it’s to witness it, document it, and let it shine in its most authentic form. Because at the end of the day, these aren’t just wedding photos. They’re the moments that will bring you back to exactly how it all felt.
I’m so glad you’re here—I can’t wait to get to know you!
