Some wedding venues just feel different. This little gem in the west end is one of them. If you’re planning a Caffino wedding in Toronto – you’ve come to the right place!
One of my favourite weddings I’ve photographed at Caffino was Leanne & Paul’s. These two had the misfortune of planning a wedding in 2020/21… we all know what I’m talking about. While the state of the world threw all kinds of challenges their way, they pulled off a day full of warmth, personality, and a flower-girl wiener dog who stole the show.
Family filled the old brick alleyways of Liberty village while the slightly wild wind whipped between the buildings. I think the wind made for a nice touch, adding movement and lifting Leanne’s veil at just the right moments. There were emotional speeches that got everyone choked up, laughter bouncing off the old Toronto red brick, and that rare kind of energy where you can feel every person is right there with you.
Caffino lets people show up feeling like they’re at a cozy family gathering – which means I get to do the same. I get to witness, to feel, to capture what actually matters. That’s why I love it here.
Liberty Village Vibes
Caffino sits in the heart of Liberty Village — one of Toronto’s most photogenic and personality-filled neighbourhoods. It’s the kind of place where industrial textures meet golden light, where cafés and cobblestones feel like part of the day, not just the background.
One of my favourite parts? You can walk a block and have five completely different photo backdrops: red brick alleys, lush ivy walls, vintage architecture, and warm patio light. It’s effortless and editorial — without ever feeling overdone.
If you’re looking for a venue that feels stylish but not stuffy, emotionally rich but visually stunning — Caffino might be your match. This Italian gem is a rare blend of urban charm and rustic romance.
The Venue: Rustic Italian Soul with Toronto Charm
Caffino isn’t your average “event space.” It’s a working Italian restaurant with loads of character and a layout that feels like a warm embrace. There’s a flow to the place — from the indoor dining space with its rich textures, to the ivy-covered courtyard that feels like something out of Tuscany.
Some venue highlights:
Capacity: Up to ~120 guests for a seated meal or ceremony
Indoor/Outdoor Flow: Perfect for spring, summer, or early fall weddings
Vibe: Intimate, romantic, unpretentious
It’s perfect for couples who want something that feels organic and real — a space that already has so much soul, you don’t need to dress it up much.
Photo Spots Galore
As a photographer, I’m always chasing light and emotion — and Caffino gives both in spades.
From the wrought iron gates and ivy walls to brick lined Liberty Village photo ops, you don’t need to travel far for variety. Some of my favourite portraits have happened just steps from the ceremony — quiet alleyway moments, soft laughter in the courtyard, or a sunset stroll around the block.
Bonus: the space photographs beautifully no matter the weather.
Food That Tells a Story
Because Caffino is a restaurant first, the food is part of the heart of the experience. Think Italian comfort meets chic presentation — antipasti platters, handmade pastas, thoughtful wine pairings. Guests linger longer here. Conversations stretch out. It’s a dinner party feel in the very best way.
Catering Details:
In-house catering with flexible packages
Customizable menus for dietary needs
Wine and espresso service that elevates the experience
Pro tip? Ask about a late-night espresso and dessert bar. It’s magic.
Logistics & Parking
Let’s keep it real — even the dreamiest venue needs to be practical. Here’s what to know:
Parking:
Nearby Green P lot (a short walk from the venue)
Street parking is limited — best to give guests a heads-up
Some couples offer Uber credits or shuttle options for ease
Transit:
Easily accessible by TTC (including King and Dufferin streetcars)
Great for guests coming from all over the city
Things to Consider
Caffino is full of charm, but like any unique venue, it’s worth keeping a few things in mind:
Accessibility: The cobblestone areas are beautiful, but not ideal for wheelchairs or strollers. Check with the venue about access routes.
Weather Backups: The indoor space is cozy and lovely, but if you’re planning a courtyard ceremony, have a plan B you feel good about.
Decor Needs: The space doesn’t need much. Let the venue’s textures and lighting do most of the work. A few florals or candles go a long way.
Should You Have a Caffino Wedding in Toronto?
If you’re looking for a venue that’s:
Stylish but not fussy
Intimate but big-hearted
Full of character but free of pressure
…Caffino is it.
It’s a place where you can feel everything. Where your dog is welcome. Where the wind makes magic with your veil. Where dinner feels like a slow, joyful exhale. And where your photos will reflect not just what the day looked like — but what it felt like.
My approach is grounded in presence, not performance. You won’t find stiff posing or high-pressure timelines here — just real, unfiltered moments captured with care. I’ll guide when needed, disappear when it matters, and be your calm anchor through it all.
If this sounds like your kind of wedding day, I think we’d get along beautifully.
Photography has always been more than just images to me—it’s about holding onto the moments that matter most. The raw, unfiltered bits of life that tell our stories.
My approach is candid, vibey, and unposed whenever possible (don’t worry, I still gently guide your portraits when needed). I believe every emotion—joy, laughter, quiet tears, the big and small—is deeply beautiful and deserves to be remembered.
As your wedding photographer, my job isn’t to stage your love—it’s to witness it, document it, and let it shine in its most authentic form. Because at the end of the day, these aren’t just wedding photos. They’re the moments that will bring you back to exactly how it all felt.
I’m so glad you’re here—I can’t wait to get to know you!
