Wedding planning in the middle of a pandemic is a rollercoaster at best. My heart has broken for my clients time and time again over the past couple of year – none of this has been easy or fair, but honestly, most of the couples I’ve worked with have handled everything with so much grace. Samantha and Andrew were no exception, and photographing their 13th Street Winery Wedding in August 2020 felt like a dream come true.
After so much disappointment and loss for my business, I feel like I need to say how grateful I was that Sam & Andrew decided to move forward with their plans in the midst of that first pandemic summer. It’s hard not to feel selfish when trying to protect your business while so many people are experiencing personal loss, but the clients who worked with me tin 2020 literally keep things afloat. I so appreciate that on a personal level, but also because it means that I’m still around to serve clients as we continue to navigate this crazy time. We’re all connected and that is more apparent to me now than ever before.
Enough about me, let’s talk about how freaking gorgeous this wedding was. Unlike most of the weddings I photographed in 2020, Samantha and Andrew had planned an intimate event from day one. They’re low-key, a little quiet, and just wanted to spend time with their closest family members… oh and also to feed them all a great meal. The garden at 13th Street Winery was a gorgeous setting for their small, private ceremony as golden light filtered through the trees. After a relaxed cocktail hour, the party was moved into a private dining room where everyone enjoyed one of the best meals I’ve ever had at a wedding! Truly, 13th Street Winery made sure every last item on the table was perfect.
My time with Sam, Andrew, and their darling family ended shortly after they lit sparklers and cut their wedding cake on the patio. I couldn’t have asked for a better day for these two and I’m forever grateful to have been part of it!
Photography has always been more than just images to me—it’s about holding onto the moments that matter most. The raw, unfiltered bits of life that tell our stories.
My approach is candid, vibey, and unposed whenever possible (don’t worry, I still gently guide your portraits when needed). I believe every emotion—joy, laughter, quiet tears, the big and small—is deeply beautiful and deserves to be remembered.
As your wedding photographer, my job isn’t to stage your love—it’s to witness it, document it, and let it shine in its most authentic form. Because at the end of the day, these aren’t just wedding photos. They’re the moments that will bring you back to exactly how it all felt.
I’m so glad you’re here—I can’t wait to get to know you!
